A Bit About Samuel Acquaye
Mr. Acquaye is a Partner at PMCT Accountants & Consultants in Ghana. He holds the esteemed title of Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Ghana. With over 35 years of post-qualification experience, Mr. Acquaye has a diverse background in auditing, accountancy, and consultancy.

Previously, he served as the Director of Finance at Presbyterian Press Limited, a prominent printing company in Ghana. In this role, Mr. Acquaye played a vital role in developing accounting and internal audit manuals for the organisation. He provided regular financial reports to the management and board, offering valuable advice on financial matters. His focus on resource utilisation, effective control systems, and financial prudence ensured the company's success.

Mr. Acquaye also held the position of Deputy Managing Director at State Enterprise Audit Corporation, where he started as an Audit Manager. During his tenure, he oversaw and monitored statutory audits of state-owned enterprises while handling managerial and administrative responsibilities. He actively participated in consultancy services, including contributing to the preparation of a Ten-Year Strategic Plan for the organisation.

Furthermore, Mr. Acquaye gained valuable experience working with Messrs Basil Howells & Company, a reputable accounting firm based in London, United Kingdom. His responsibilities encompassed various financial aspects, such as preparing financial statements, conducting audits, and providing financial and taxation advice to clients. He also offered guidance on the implementation of control systems.

In addition to his professional achievements, Mr. Acquaye serves as the Head of the Audit Team for the Presbyterian Church of Ghana in the Madina District. Leading the team, he ensures compliance with the church's regulations and accepted accounting principles while auditing the accounts of congregations. Outside of work, he enjoys keeping up with current affairs, which is one of his favourite pastimes.
